The Paper Season 2
The satirical mockumentary format that defined modern television comedy is back. Fans of the Emmy Award-winning series The Office will soon get their next fix of workplace chaos when season two of The Paper lands on screens worldwide.
In the UK, viewers can catch the entire boxset on Sky TV and streaming via NOW. Across the Atlantic, American audiences can stream the new season on HBO Max.
The series is co-created, written, and executive produced by Greg Daniels (The Office US) under his Deedle-Dee Productions banner alongside Michael Koman (Nathan for You). Original UK The Office creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant also return as executive producers, alongside Howard Klein and Ben Silverman.
What to Expect in Season Two
The Paper follows the iconic Dunder Mifflin documentary crew as they turn their lenses toward a new subject: a historic, small-town Midwestern newspaper and the ambitious publisher trying to keep it afloat.
Following the events of the first season, the staff is riding high after sweeping the Ohio Journalism Awards. In season two, publisher Ned (Domhnall Gleeson) goes looking for a massive journalistic crusade. His investigation targets a local, exclusive private club, a move that quickly puts the entire future of the newspaper in serious jeopardy.
Away from the printing press, the newsroom dynamics get even more complicated. Ned and Mare (Sabrina Impacciatore) attempt to navigate their mutual romantic attraction, while Esmeralda struggles to find her true footing in the office, and the eccentric staff slowly—but surely—mature into legitimate reporters.
